INDIGENOUS INCLUSION
Indigenous Putting Indigenous To Work
INDIGENOUS INCLUSION
We actively promote opportunities for Indigenous people by providing employment opportunities to qualified Indigenous individuals and promoting business development opportunities with First Nation owned businesses.
We are committed to the engagement of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal business in creating partnerships when working in traditional territories, and as a First Nation owned business we are a voice in support of projects to ensure all stakeholders' interests are respected, protected and sustained.
The core policies of our Indigenous Inclusion initiative are outlined below.
OUR CORE POLICIES
Indigenous Workforce
More than 50% of our total workforce must be employees who identify as First Nation, non-status Indian, Inuit, Métis or of Indigenous ancestry.
Strategic Alliances
Develop ongoing strategic alliances with Indigenous owned businesses to expand employment and business opportunities for Aboriginal peoples.
Promote Opportunity
Actively promote opportunities for Indigenous people for employment and business development across all sectors of our operations.
FIRST NATION OPPORTUNITIES
First and foremost, we offer First Nation opportunities. Lil Bear Contracting Corp. was built on the belief that Indigenous people should lead in building the land they've always called home.
"We are committed to ensuring that Indigenous communities benefit from the work being done on their traditional territories — through employment, training, and business development."
WORK WITH US
We're always looking for qualified Indigenous workers and businesses to partner with.
